Get Down & Dirty for a Good Cause with Grady Goat Yoga Tampa

My Experience

Goat Yoga is such a thing! What started out as a passion project on a small farm in Oregon, has taken the country by storm. It has even spread overseas as far as Australia!

I’m not much of a morning person, especially early on a Saturday, however when it involves YOGA WITH GOATS! Need I say more? I met my friend Terry at Grady Goat Farm in Thonotosassa Florida, about 20 minutes from downtown Tampa. We got to the farm early because one, I was wide awake and two, we were ready to play with some cute ass goats! Our class was limited to 25 participates and about 20 goats, ranging from babies just a few months old to adults.

I’ll be really honest, not a lot of yoga got done. It’s hard to do yoga when an adorable baby goat comes up to you and starts nuzzling your face, or an excited momma goat eagerly jumps on your back in the middle of downward dog!

Goat yoga is more about the experience than the actual yoga, which is why it’s the perfect activity for newbies to yoga looking to have a lot of fun. The goats are a happy distraction and you’ll be in for a giggle-filled class!
